SUPPORTING AUSTRALIAN SPORT
For more than four decades, we have proudly supported Australian athletes and are advocates for women’s sports in Australia.
Our involvement in sport began in 1992 when the company supported an unknown female cyclist for the Barcelona Olympic Games. She went on to win an Olympic gold medal and Kathy Watt became an instant household name. Later that year, Jayco formed Australia’s very first professional cycling team comprising riders such as Olympic gold medalist Dean Woods and Scott McGrory.
We are proud to have been instrumental in helping the sport of cycling grow in Australia and continue our support today with a focus on cycling and basketball.
We stand proud with a rich history in supporting Women’s basketball, previously supporting the Dandenong rangers for over a decade and today, the Southside Flyers. The Southside flyers are an Australian professional women’s basketball team competing in the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL).
2019 marked the start of a new era for the Southside flyers after taking over the Dandenong Rangers WNBL team. The teams home stadium is located at the State Basketball Centre. The Flyers continue to play and respect their history, and work to continue to be one of Australia’s most successful domestic women’s basketball teams.
With over 45 years of our own roots in Dandenong, where all Jayco’s are manufactured we are especially proud to continue supporting a team of athletes and women who inspire and enrich our own community of young athletes to come and all of Australia.
